ECI Undergraduate Tavel Award

The East Central Illinois (ECI) Section of the ACS would like to announce four Undergraduate Travel Awards to support those looking to attend an ACS meeting (national or regional) during the 2020 annual year. The award must be spent by December 31st, 2020 (the award can cover conferences after this date provided the money is spent by December). Three $250 awards will be given to support those interested in presenting their original research, and one $250 award will be given to those interested in attending a conference for professional development opportunities.

Eligibility requirements:

• ACS member
• Undergraduate student attending a college or university within the ECI local section

Interested applicants must submit the following documentation:

• A current CV or resume
• Transcript (unofficial is acceptable)
• Personal statement (1-page limit)
  • Research applicants should focus on the findings of the research, contribution to the project, and the benefits of attending the proposed conference
  • Leadership applicants should highlight appropriate leadership experiences and the benefits of attending the proposed conference
• One letter of recommendation (For research applicants, please have letter-writer clearly indicate the student's contribution to the project)
• Abstract (for research applicants only; 250 words max; 1 graphic figure optional)
